Position Summary: The Architectural/Structural Analyst will conduct administrative technical review of larger-scale product installations, examining project design wind criteria and other structural specifics to provide clear guidance on customized requirements and recommendations to ensure safe installation of cladding products and expand installation methods and possibilities for all Nichiha building products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete Technical Reviews as described in summary.
  • Work directly with architects and building engineers to receive building technical specifications.
  • Use engineering knowledge, along with project details to determine customized recommendations while maintaining integrity of product installation.
  • Work with Nichiha USA sales team to gather information and discuss individual project requirements as needed.
  • Generate periodic analysis of incoming technical review data to determine changes needed in installation methods.
  • Maintain constant communication with key installers and dealers in their territory.
  • Identify key installers and dealers and nurture the relationship through training, mock wall, visits to job starts, following up.
  • Communicate proper vision of the company and proper install guidelines and best practices.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current strategies and programs.
  • Provide suggestions for improvement of training program.
  • Help develop new installation methods.
  • Work with field technical advisors, architects, and others to understand the market needs and latest in building envelope practices.
  • Participate in new product design and development.
  • Attend technical department biweekly conference calls and quarterly in-person meetings.
  • Bring ideas on how we can improve the department, company, and quality of work Participate in product code compliance and testing requirement processes.
  • Assist in managing Nichiha’s technical documents including revision and/or creation of installation instructions, testing summaries, three-part specifications, architectural details (AutoCAD and/or Revit).

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Experience with structural design a plus.
  • Assertive, effective communication.
  • Building design experience, or equivalent.
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivator.
  • Ability to work with power tools a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of the construction process.
  • Ability to travel 10% – 15%.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture, or Bachelor’s Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
