POSITION SUMMARY:  The Junior Project Manager is part of the EPMO, a division that focuses on the global scope of projects looking not just at what is being required but at the enterprise-level impact of the endeavor.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Be a champion in Enterprise Project Management Office in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules.
  • Due to the constant visibility the department has, it is important to be able to prioritize daily tasks based on project requirements and business objectives
  • To implement common best practices for Project Management
  • Project Management knowledge is STRONGLY preferred as this will enable you to hit the ground running!
  • Definition of business cases for complex feature requirements
  • Championing cross-functional teams and influencing others towards common goals, serving as the central resource for design, development, test, quality, operations, finance, and marketing throughout all stages of project’s lifecycle
  • Consistently be strategically aligned to Nichiha’s goals and objectives
  • To effectively communicate information gathered to decision makers in the Enterprise
  • Be a Life-Long Learning and constantly learning and sharing the common knowledge and best practices with team members to better the group
  • Be driven and passion of changes and make every effort to champion these new procedures into the Nichiha Environment
  • To utilize PM software to allow for reporting and insight into EPMO activities
  • Be an active team player in departmental activities and initiatives
  • Attend client and various department meetings to assist in the determination of project requirements.
  • Be a strong communicator and engage stakeholders to gain buy-in and ensure project handoff
  • Structure projects based on common Project management principles.
  • Able to juggle multiple initiatives at the same time.
  • Continuously update Project Management software with current tasks.
  • Work closely with process owners including senior level management to make sure that the scope and direction of each project meets all necessary requirements.
  • Must be detailed oriented by ensuring that each project is completed on time and at or under budget.
  • Act as department liaison by providing operational support to various departments within the organization.
  • Clearly set communication expectations with key stakeholders and provide updates on a regular basis.
  • Provide milestones related to all projects that are on the weekly agenda/project dashboard.
  • Assist in documenting project phases and creating summary reports for company management.
  • Management of technology partners
  • Perform other duties and tasks as outlined by the department manager.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of Project Management and collaborative Tools – MS Project, Atlassian Tools (JIRA, Confluence) and Slack – Strongly preferred
  • Problem Solving/Analysis
  • Ability prioritize amongst ambiguity and change
  • Excellent Communications skills – both Verbal and Written
  • Proven Presentation Skills
  • Strong Team Player as well as individual contributor
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Technical Capacity – have some IT experience implementing and modifying software
  • Strong desire to learn

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Some Project Management Experience 

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years project management experience
  • Experience implementing software modifications/upgrades
  • ERP Implementation experience PREFERRED
  • CRM understand PREFERRED
  • Previous Manufacturing Operations experience PREFERRED

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
